Sanitize
- Wipe equipment off if you sweat all over them. You don’t want to lie in someone else’s sweat, so extend the next person the same courtesy.
Returning weights
- Not everyone can or wants to unload 45 lb. plates off a leg press machine (especially women). If you put weights on, please take them off. Place dumbbells back in the weight rack where they belong and please stack weights correctly. There's no need to bury 5s and 10s behind 45s on the plate tree.
Slamming weights
- Slamming weights can cause injury to yourself or others and damage equipment. Always set them down as gently as you can. If lifting heavy weights, please use rubber mats if dropping them (dumbbell press).
Proper attire
- Keep your shirt on. We ask that you wear appropriate clothing for exercise. This mainly refers to shoes, but please don’t wear jeans as the buttons can rip seats and cushions.
Gym etiquette
- The golden rule - treat others the way you want to be treated. No harassing of any sort. No excessive shouting. Keep your hands to yourself. Try to refrain from vulgar language. Clean up after yourself - locker rooms included.
